Matte red lustre pot
This small pot is fired in my experimental lustre technique. I use small kilns and create messy atmospheres to create a variated color patterns. Using gas as my main fuel, I may add pieces of wood, choke the kiln for oxygen to fill it with thick smoke, or add greased cotton balls, all in an effort to create these unique surfaces. Lustre glazes are alluring and complicated, every piece is one of a kind.
