The Artist

My name is Joshua Kehrberg and I am a ceramic artist. I received my BFA in Sculpture from OCAC. I have trained in the ceramics industry as well as with local potters in Portland, OR.

Both the industrial and natural environments influence how I view & make work. Clay is my favorite medium because of the tactile experience along with the ability to loosely sculpt forms and represent any type of material surface.

I am also inspired by the zen principles of aesthetics. I don’t claim to be an expert, but rather a student. Exploring the design principles of emptiness, naturalness, harmony, and spirit.
